The Petits at home

At French Dogshows, we regularly saw the bright Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, and so it was no surprise when "Indiskret vom Esculap" called "BAGUETTE", joined our household in 1992.
Her uncomplicated ways, her cheerfulness, and also her passion for hunting impressed us to such an extent, that it was only a matter of time before  her first litter was raised.

Baguette's first litter, 1 male und 2 bitches, were born on the 20.4.1995. The bitch "Pennylane Quelle Fortune", or "URMEL" stayed with us and has been wrapping not only us, but also all of our visitors around her little finger ever since.

Petit Bassets are not just good hunting dogs, they also make pleasant family pets. They are always happy, never aggressive and though not obtrusive, they are always to be had for some love and attention. They are good with children and, thanks to their harsh coat, easy to keep. In short they're active little Allrounders.
